Latest update 27th March 2024

27th March: While most of the group were wearing several layers of clothing and riding on wet roads, a large group of our regulars were enjoying some Spanish sunshine. Click here to read about their adventures in From Our Own Correspondent.

22nd March: Another Electric bike for sale, this time a Cannondale EVO road bike to add to the Ribble hybid electric trekking bike and ladies touring bike in our forsale/wanted section.

21st March: Despite a number of our regulars being on a cycling holiday in Spain this week (and having a lovely time) there were still about thirty at the Old Royal Ship for lunch. Fast group report added 23rd March. March reports here.

28th February: Anybody got a spare Shimano 105 left hand shifter, ST5700. Our old friend John Upward is looking for one. Something similar may possibly do. Please contact Bill Balchin.

27th February 2024: Leo Brady is looking for a decent starter bike for a 4-5 year old grand-daughter. Details on our For sale/wanted page

9th February: Information from Keith Borrisow regarding repairs to electric bikes and their batteries:

If your supplier has disappeared, quibbles over warranty claims, will only replace (particularly batteries) rather than repair, quotes prices that seem huge - then do consider talking to Pat Belcher, the proprietor of Bike Station UK Ltd in Yate.
Web: www.bikestationuk.com  tel: 01454 320800

As well as offering the normal range of mechanical work, he also has excellent specialist electrical expertise on tap. When my battery packed up it was sorted for me for about 60% of the price quoted by an official dealer. Oh, yes, and it’s now working excellently.

23rd January: Our good friend and former BTOTC organiser, John Bisop is selling his Ribble Hybrid AL e trail electric bike. See For Sale/Wanted or click here.

28th December: Brian Griffiths is selling a ladies touring bike. See for sale/wanted for details.

25th November: Alf Howard is disposing of some cycling bits and pieces, mostly free. Richard Harmon is still selling a pair of Giro cycling shoes, size 41. See For Sale/Wanted.
